PBI – Steampunk timed exercise
Using a mixture of industrial & mechanical images and drawing on films such as Steamboy, The City of Lost Children, Casshern & Wild Wild West, create a steampunk inspired insect in Photoshop.
First create a mood board, then design 1 2D steampunk insect to be complete by the end of the session.
Possible images to structurally cannibalize for this exercies are in 000_c4d_resource – mechanical reference/ helicopter museum/ brewery/ shivering sands folders. Also folder 035_LSDS has a steam-punk artwork folder for reference.
The research, concepts and image creation from this PBI timed session will be directly beneficial towards your 3D modeling module: a butterfly loop animation.
